2-7 Single Draw
Also known as: Deuce-to-Seven Single Draw, No-Limit Single Draw, NL 2-7
A no-limit lowball draw game with only one draw opportunity. Same hand rankings as 2-7 Triple Draw but with no-limit betting and only one chance to draw. The no-limit structure and single draw create high-pressure decisions where standing pat as a bluff is a major weapon.
Quick Rules
- Each player is dealt 5 cards face down.
- A betting round occurs before the draw.
- Each player draws 0-5 replacement cards (one draw only).
- A final betting round occurs.
- Lowest hand wins. Best hand: 2-3-4-5-7 (no flush). Aces are high.
Strategy Notes
Standing pat (drawing zero) as a bluff is the signature play. Since opponents cannot tell if you have a made hand or are snowing, pat play carries enormous leverage with no-limit bet sizing. Starting hand requirements are higher than Triple Draw since there is only one draw.
Home Game Tips
More accessible than Triple Draw since it plays like a simplified version with bigger decisions. The no-limit format creates exciting all-in moments. Good for groups that enjoy bluffing.
