The most widely played poker variant worldwide. Each player receives two private cards and shares five community cards dealt in three stages (flop, turn, river). Best five-card hand wins.
Quick Rules
- Each player is dealt 2 hole cards face down.
- 5 community cards are dealt face up in 3 stages: flop (3), turn (1), river (1).
- Players make the best 5-card hand using any combination of hole and community cards.
- 4 betting rounds: pre-flop, flop, turn, river.
- Standard hand rankings apply (royal flush highest).
Strategy Notes
Position is critical — acting last gives you information. Tight-aggressive play dominates in most home games. Starting hand selection is the biggest edge for beginners.
